Mr. Adam Lewis, IMEC, Manager-Training & Operations Visits WSP Maritime Training Center Inc
Posted Jun 24, 2016On the 23rd day of June 2016, Mr. Mr. Adam Lewis, IMEC, Manager-Training & Operations visited WSP Maritime Training Center Inc (WSPMTC), Manila, with a view of visually assessing the progress made by the training center.
Mr. Lewis was welcomed by Mr Manny David and Capt Alban Castellino, President and Training Consultant of WSPMTC, respectively. Mr Lewis was given a guided tour of the training center facilities, to observe; in their operational modes; the Full Mission Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator, the Full Mission Navigation Simulator, the Full Mission Engine Room Simulator, and the Resource Center with its well populated library, laptop work stations which are loaded with learning software.
In addition, he was given a walk through the other facilities which included class rooms and training rooms.
Mr. Lewis was then briefed on various courses offered, both the MARINA accredited as well as the ‘value-added’ courses, in WSP-MCT’s portfolio. He was duly impressed with the center’s mission and vision, in its continued quest for quality above all other goals. Mr. Lewis was then briefed on the continual improvement programs which are in place, future plans envisaged and directional objectives and targets.
Mr. Lewis then briefed us on IMEC’s plans for future inductees on the IMEC-Cadetship-Program.
Being a busy man with preplanned schedules, Mr. Lewis departed the training center to continue on the agenda of his busy scheduled visit in Manila, promising to visit the center on his next visits in Manila.
